After months of delays, we are proud to announce that our solar panels finally went into service November 24, 2014! Our solar array is sized to produce all the energy our kennel uses on an annual basis. The array is on net-metering, meaning that when the sun is shining and the panels are producing electricity, the electricity back-feeds into the grid--any excess energy produced is "banked " for future use . When the sun is not shining, we draw our "banked" power from the grid.
